Netdiag.exe is a very useful tool for diagnosing network
connection issues such as domain and server availability. There are
numerous versions of Netdiag and only some will work on each version
of Windows. It can usually be extracted from the Windows CD by
locating the Support folder, within the Tools folder right click on
Support.cab and choose explore to find netdiag.exe. Once located,
right click on the file and choose extract. It is not present on all
CD's. If not, it can be downloaded here:
Netdiag.exe ver 5.1.2600.0 which
seems to work fine with XP SP1 or 2. It can also be downloaded
as part of the Windows XP SP2 Support Tools:
